The name of the resort "Nika" is kept after a majestic banyan tree. Nika means banyan in Dhivehi the local language. The giant tree is believed to be 355 years old and more is said to be home to many different types of birds and fruit bats. Because of this giant tree, the island enjoys a cooler and pleasant atmosphere as compared to any other island in the Maldives.

Offering 8 different categories of villas, the best part is each villa has its own private beach and an outdoor area that offers a mesmerizing view of the ocean. Garden Room 

Located in the middle of the island facing the walkway, there are a total of 6 garden rooms on the Island. These rooms as the name suggest come with a veranda and a garden view.  Each garden rooms are elegantly furnished and offer access to both the public beaches on the island.

Beach Villa

Located on the North-East side of the island, there are total 10 beach villas on the Island. The villas are not only spacious but are also detached from other places of the Island offering complete privacy. The lush green foliage, the outdoor jacuzzi and the view of the Indian Ocean make it even more perfect for an amazing stay.

Family Beach Villa

Located on the North side of the island, there are total 3 family beach villas on the Island. The villas are perfect to accommodate a family offering one spacious living room, two separate bedrooms and limitless view of the ocean in complete privacy. Plus Two en suite bathrooms, an outdoor shower will make your family fall in love with the place.

Deluxe Beach Villa

Located on the South-West side of the island, there are total 10 deluxe beach villas on the Island.  These villas are not only elegant but allow guests to indulge in arrays of activities like sunbathing on a sun lounger under a large thatched umbrella in complete privacy.

Family Deluxe Beach Villa

Located on the South-West side of the island, there are total 3 family deluxe beach villas on the Island. The villas feature one master bedroom with a King size bed and a second bedroom with a Queen size bed, with en suite bathrooms, open air shower ocean view, a large living room and an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Water Villa

Located on the North-East side of the island, there are total 8 water villas on the Island offering a direct access to the lagoon. Also offered here is 3 level sundecks that make this place even more tempting and comfortable.

Family Water Villa 

Similar to water villas, family water villas offers two bedrooms, living room and a spacious sundeck overlooking the lagoon and reef. With the sea at your doorstep, take a plunge into the water anytime in the day.

Sultan Suite

If you want to experience ultimate luxury and retreat, then Sultan Suite is where you should be.  Located on the south-eastern side of the island, the suite is large, beautiful, and offers gorgeous house reef.
